Construction Technical Excellence College
The Bedford College Group has been appointed by the Department of Education as the UK’s cross-regional Construction Technical Excellence College (CTEC).
This recognition reflects our industry-leading construction training and facilities, including our Modern Methods of Construction centre in Bedford, advanced facilities at Tresham, and strong apprenticeship partnerships with employers across the sector. The Group is also supporting major regional developments including East West Rail, the Oxford–Cambridge supercluster and the Luton Airport Parkway expansion, helping to train the next generation of skilled construction professionals.

Students on our Sustainable Construction Foundation Degree won a national Small Business Research Initiative (SBRI) competition to gain £150,000 of Government funding to undertake a retrofit of Bedfordshire housing.
Our part-time courses will help you to enhance your existing career or go in a new direction, while our full-time courses can help you get into employment, an apprenticeship or go on to study further at university, which 82% of our Construction students did in 2019.
