We have course options including the PGCE/Cert Ed, the DET, the AET (formerly known as PTLLS, which is ideal if you are looking to work in this area) and TAQA qualifications. Our Social Studies area offer courses in Psychology & Crime, Child & Family Studies and Educational Practice where you can gain the experience to enhance your skills, knowledge and understanding.

Our dedicated Vehicle Technology Centre and Plumbing Centre are located at our Kempston campus, just over three miles from our Cauldwell campus.
The Vehicle Technology Centre is fully kitted out with engine and repair bays, paint mix and spray rooms and a body repair area – perfect for all budding mechanics. We offer a wide-range of full-time and part-time courses, with qualifications at a variety of levels – including apprenticeships – and many of our courses are run by the Institute of the Motor Industry.
Approved by industry bodies including City & Guilds and the British Plumbing Employers Council (BPEC), our Plumbing Centre facilities and study programmes provide the very latest knowledge of traditional gas and plumbing techniques and state-of-the-art renewable technologies.

Bus services frequently stop less than a 10 minute walk away from our campuses. Bus passes and financial support are available for eligible students.
Kempston Campus is served by bus route number 53, stopping just outside the Woburn Road Industrial Estate and running between Bedford town centre and the villages of Marston Moretaine, Cranfield and Wootton.

Bedford’s mainline station is a 15 minute walk from our Cauldwell Street Campus and BROOKS Hair & Beauty Salon. Bedford St Johns station is only five minutes from our Cauldwell Street Campus
The nearest station to our Kempston Campus is Kempston Hardwick, which is served hourly by the Marston Vale line between Bletchley and Bedford.

Limited student parking is available at our Cauldwell Street Campus with a student permit. Our Kempston Campus has free on-road parking, with easy access to Woburn Road Industrial Estate just off the major A421 road.
