Student Support The Bedford College Group

The Bedford College Group employs a professionally qualified Careers Team who annually hosts Careers Fairs across all of its campuses in Bedfordshire, Central Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire.

Supporting students with drop-ins and tutorial sessions on careers education, information, advice and guidance (CEIAG) the CEIAG Policy and Careers programme is designed to meet the needs of students to progress into employment in their chosen field and to ensure that the Group achieves all of the Gatsby Benchmarks.

Throughout the year to support the sessions the team:

  • Arrange guest speakers from employers and universities
  • Share local job vacancies and other opportunities on noticeboards at each campus
  • Provide a careers library with resources for students to use for research.

Reflecting the needs of business

Employer insights are a key component of our careers advice programmes and working alongside other organisations including SEMLEP/The Careers & Enterprise Company we aim to ensure what we offer is reflecting the needs of the business.

If you wish to advertise vacancies to our students or visit us to present to students regarding opportunities and general pathways in your area of business, please contact us via:  studentservices@bedford.ac.uk

Our students welcome an insight into the world of work from professionals and research shows that this can be extremely beneficial for their employment outcomes so please do get in touch at the contact details below if you would like to discuss working in partnership with your local campus.

To support this, Work Experience is embedded into all of our study programmes and we welcome enquiries from businesses across all sectors to provide new placements for our students to gain experience in their career path, enrich their studies and enhance their progression opportunities.
