Supply Chain Warehouse Operative (ST0259) Level 2 Apprenticeship

The Supply Chain Warehouse Operative Apprenticeship is designed to equip individuals with the essential knowledge, skills, and behaviours needed to work effectively within a fast-paced warehouse environment. Warehousing plays a crucial role in the supply chain, ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods from suppliers to customers.

This apprenticeship provides hands-on experience in core areas such as receiving and storing goods, picking, packing, and dispatching orders, stock control, and using warehouse systems and technology. Apprentices will also develop an understanding of health and safety regulations, sustainability practices, and customer service expectations.

Ideal for those starting their career in logistics, upon successful completion, apprentices will be well-prepared to take on roles such as Warehouse Operative, Picker/Packer, or Stock Controller, and may progress to higher-level qualifications or supervisory positions within the industry.

Knowledge, skills and behaviours developed:

Knowledge:

  • Health & safety, warehouse operations, stock control, customer service, environmental practices, IT systems, GDPR, and handling different product types.

Skills:

  • Safely receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching goods; using equipment and digital systems; stocktaking; problem-solving; effective communication; and following sustainability procedures.

Behaviours:

  • Works with integrity, takes responsibility, is safety-conscious, adaptable, team-oriented, committed to self-development, customer-focused, and respects equality and inclusion.
Entry requirements

Desirable:

Grade 4 and above Maths and English.
