The aims of this qualification are to:

This qualification aims to provide expert guidance to learners wishing to gain knowledge and understanding on Domestic & Non domestic lighting design Principles and Application

This qualification aims to provide practical guidance to learners wishing to gain knowledge and understanding  on the management of electrical safety, with particular emphasis on low voltage safe isolation procedures to be followed during construction and refurbishment projects, and during maintenance activities.

This qualification is aimed at

  • Duty holders, Managers and supervisors responsible for safe working practices
  • Electricians working on construction/refurbishment projects and carrying out maintenance and fault finding activities
  • Other trades who are required to safely isolate electrical equipment prior to mechanical maintenance activities.

What are the benefits of studying this course?

Successful completion of this course will means that candidates will learn, develop and practise the skills required for understanding of the correct legislation in how to carry out safe isolation what needs to be done to make sure workers on-site are not exposed to danger when working on or near live electrical systems and equipment in buildings.

What will I study?

At the end of the course, delegates will:

  • Study number of chapter and modules that help you to gain necessary knowledge to be able to carried out safe isolation.
  • The workshop will confirm the individual understands how to correctly use test equipment to isolate all of, or part of, and electrical installation to allow safe work.

During your study you will cover a range of knowledge and skills across areas including design project.

  • Introduction to safe isolation procedures
  • Electricity at Work Legislation
  • Electrical safety equipment for safe isolation purposes
  • Safe isolation on-site practical application and practice
