Product Design BTEC HND

3D Design Bedford

Overview

Product Design HND (Full time)

The one year HND programme is a follow on from the HNC 3D Design course and will introduce you to design manufacturing, new materials and trend forecasting. You will also develop methodologies for idea generation within the industry, the design cycle, analysis and testing. There is an emphasis on contemporary making skills for example ceramic, glass, wood, metal and resin. The programme is delivered by design practitioners in studios in the purpose-built South Bank Arts Centre. The course will prepare you for a career as a creative designer and maker, in addition, you will engage in contextual studies of British and European product design as well as design from various cultures. Our students have progressed to employment with local and London-based design agencies. Once you have completed the HND in Product Design you can progress to a university of your choice.
