Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment City & Guilds Level 4 Award (6317-72)

The City & Guilds Level 4 Award in Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment (6317-72) is designed for practitioners who are responsible for maintaining and improving the quality of assessment within an organisation. The qualification is suitable for individuals who carry out, or intend to carry out, Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) activities and who are responsible for monitoring assessment practice, supporting assessors, sampling assessment decisions and ensuring consistency and quality across assessment processes.

The qualification develops both the knowledge and practical skills required to perform the role of an Internal Quality Assurer effectively and in line with organisational, awarding organisation and regulatory requirements.

Practitioners will need to be qualified/experienced in a vocational area and meet the requirements for assessment as specified by the assessment strategy of their vocational area qualification. This is usually a level 3 qualification and relevant experience.
