This course is for those who wish to improve or develop their existing English reading and writing skills, and gain qualifications nationally recognised by employers and training providers. These skills will help you to build your knowledge and understanding of English, and will also enable you to improve essential key skills of reading, writing, speaking, and listening in the English language.

How will I learn?
A range of activities at the appropriate level that will develop reading, writing and communication skills.
How will I be assessed?
Assessments will take place on three elements – Speaking Listen and Communication, Reading Skills and Writing Skills
What have students who have taken this course in the past progressed onto?
Progressed onto higher-level English courses including other Entry Levels, Level 1 and GCSE.
What are the expected employment sectors for this course?
Wide-ranging English skills are key in all forms of employment.

Travel to college.
What additional work outside of college will I need to do?
Tutors will set tasks to complete that will support and enhance the work done in college.
Do I need a DBS?
English and Maths courses will start in September, the perfect time to brush up on your skills.
