Engineering Intermediate (Level 2)

This study programme will provide you with a good level of knowledge and understanding of the basic engineering techniques used within the sector.

BTEC engage learners to take  responsibility for their own learning and to develop skills that are essential for the  modern-day workplace. These skills include: teamworking; working from a prescribed  brief; working to deadlines; presenting information effectively; and accurately completing administrative tasks and processes. BTEC Firsts motivate learners and open doors to  progression to further study and responsibility in the workplace.

Entry requirements

Duration: 1 year

3 GCSEs grades 9-3 OR equivalent qualification at Level 1.

Duration: 2 years

3 GCSEs grades 9-1 and a keen interest in the subject OR equivalent qualification at Level E3.

What qualification will I gain?

BTEC Level 2 First Diploma in Engineering (Technology Pathway)

How will I be assessed?

You will be assessed through: written assignments, online exams, portfolio evidence, short answer question papers.
