Course Information
To start this HND you must have successfully completed the RQF Higher National and entry is subject to a successful interview. We also welcome applications from mature students who will be considered individually on experience rather than qualifications.
During the course you will have the option to study a range of units including:
- Design principals and application
- Health, safety and welfare
- Project management
- Building information management
- Applied mathematics
- Research project.
You will also undertake a number of specialist units and a group project.
You will be assessed via a range of methods during the course including written and practical assignments plus classroom tests.
This course will provide you with the skills that enable you to pursue a range of career opportunities within the construction industry, including roles within architecture, building and quantity surveying and construction management. You can also progress on to Foundation Degrees at the College, or construction sector degrees at universities across the UK.
