Entry requirements
Essential: A level 2 qualification in Plumbing or heating (8202, 6035 or equivalent). A strong commitment to achieve a level 3 in Plumbing.
Desirable: Grade 4 or above in GCSE English and maths.
What qualification will I gain?
CG Level 3 Technical Certificate in Plumbing.
How will I be assessed?
- Externally set end of year theory exam
- Externally set practical synoptic assessment

- Unit 332 Hot water system planning and design
- Unit 333 Central heating system planning and design
- Unit 334 Sanitation system planning and design

Students can progress onto an apprenticeship (9189)

Once fully qualified plumbers can expect a starting wage of £35,000 – £40,000 per year dependant on company and location.
