The course is awarded by Pearson and it gives students a practical grounding in a range of business disciplines such as, information systems, management and leadership. Assignment and activities are designed to simulate real world situations.
Need to know
Typically 64 UCAS Points or equivalent and Level 2 qualifications in English and Mathematics. You will need a level 3 qualification in a relevant subject area and 4 GCSE A*-C, including English and maths at grade C or above and be over 18 years old. The HND course consists of 5 core units, with an additional 2 optional units available. Typical units can include:

- Business Information Technology Systems
- Developing Individuals,Teams and Organisations
A wide variety of assessment methods are used on the course including assignments, group work, presentations, projects and examinations.
Your Tutors will be on hand to support you throughout your course to develop your skills, prepare you for your next steps and help you to achieve your goals.
The HND is a Level 5 Diploma that is recognised by Higher Education providers as meeting the admissions requirements to many relevant business-related courses.
Following these you are able to top-up this course to a full Degree at University.
