Assessing Occupational Competence (Remote) City & Guilds Level 3 Award (6317-63)

The City & Guilds Level 3 Award in Assessing Occupational Competence – Remote is designed for trainers, teachers, assessors and workplace professionals who assess vocational competence in a work environment through live remote observation. The qualification develops learners’ understanding of assessment principles and provides the practical skills required to plan, carry out and quality-assure vocational assessments using remote technologies.

This qualification is particularly suitable for those working with online or geographically dispersed learners, organisations where site access is restricted, or sectors where assessment activities are conducted remotely. Learners will gain both the knowledge and practical competence needed to assess occupational skills, knowledge and behaviours in accordance with awarding organisation and industry requirements.
Practitioners will need to be qualified/experienced in a vocational area and meet the requirements for assessment as specified by the assessment strategy of their vocational area qualification. This is usually a level 3 qualification and relevant experience.
