Overview
Assessing Occupational Achievement (Remote) City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate (6317-66)The City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Occupational Achievement – Remote is designed for trainers, teachers and assessors who assess both occupational competence in the workplace and knowledge, skills and behaviours outside the workplace through live remote assessment methods.
This qualification combines the theory and practice of vocational assessment, enabling learners to develop the knowledge, skills and confidence required to assess learners remotely using digital technologies. It covers the planning, delivery and evaluation of assessment activities, as well as maintaining quality standards and complying with awarding organisation requirements.
The qualification is particularly suitable for assessors working with online learners, apprentices, remote workers, geographically dispersed organisations and sectors where face-to-face assessment is not practical. Learners will gain the competence to assess occupational achievement through live remote observation while also assessing knowledge, skills and behaviours in classroom, training or online environments.
Practitioners will need to be qualified/experienced in a vocational area and meet the requirements for assessment as specified by the assessment strategy of their vocational area qualification. This is usually a level 3 qualification and relevant experience.
