Animal Nursing Intermediate (Level 2)This course deveops practial skills and theoretical knowledge in animal care, specific to the veterinary industry. It has been developed for learners seeking a specialised qualification in animal nursing. The qualification is held in high regard in veterinary practices.
It develops practical skills in animal care and management, while offering additional opportunities to hone customer service skills in a retail environment.

Students will be qualified to assist veterinary nurses and veterinary surgeons in practice. They will be able to help provide care for hospitalised patients and the general running of the practice, including keeping cleaning schedules and assisting in reception duties.

- Provide Nutrition to Animals Handling and Restraint of Animals
- Introduction to Comparative Animal Anatomy and Physiology
- Veterinary Reception and Customer Care

- Delivering basic treatments to animals, including cleaning and infection control, basic health care treatments, routine procedures.
- Maintaining animal accommodation and providing nutrition.
