Accounting AAT Level 3 Advanced Diploma - Blended Learning

The AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting covers a range of complex accounting tasks, where students will learn and master a number of accounting disciplines. The course is taught in college, once a week, and supplemented with access to professional digital content. It is therefore important that you have access to appropriate IT equipment.

The Level 3 Diploma in Accounting is a potential route into employment with a globally recognised qualification accrediting the skills and knowledge required by employers. On completion, students can successfully undertake a role in finance. It can also be a stepping-stone to higher education, with students progressing onto the Level 4 Diploma in Professional Accounting.

It may be suited to students studying part-time alongside employment or to those already working in finance. This qualification will also suit those looking to gain the skills required to move into a career in finance as it provides a clear pathway towards a successful career in accounting and finance.

Entry requirements

Bedford:

To start you should have:

  • An AAT Foundation Certificate in Accounting level 2 , OR
  • Two A-Levels, one of which is in Accounting, OR
  • Relevant experience subject to passing the AAT Skills-check

Tresham:

Essential:

  • AAT Level 2 or its equivalent.

Desirable:

  • GCSE Grade 4 or above in maths & English
What qualification will I gain?

AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting.

How will I be assessed?

You will be assessed via computer-based exams.

You will study: 4 units

  • Business Awareness
  • Financial Accounting: Preparing Financial Statements
  • Management Accounting Techniques
  • Tax Processes for Businesses

Course progression:

On successful completion of this course you could also progress on to our Level 4 Professional Diploma In Accounting.

Career progression:

Accounting technicians are skilled staff, employed in jobs ranging from clerks to accounts department managers. They are also increasingly required in industry and commerce, so if you have AAT qualifications at any level your career prospects will be extremely good.
