The Bedford College Group proudly sponsored the 15th Annual Luton and Bedfordshire Community Awards, an event dedicated to celebrating the achievements of unsung heroes across the region.
The awards, organised by local non-profit and charity Community Interest Luton, aims to support and transform lives in Luton through partnerships with local third sector organisations, public bodies and businesses. Together, these partnerships focus on reducing unemployment, raising skill levels, increasing volunteering, and promoting educational opportunities.
This year’s prestigious event welcomed 440 attendees and reached full capacity. Central Bedfordshire College, part of The Bedford College Group, sponsored the Community Project of the Year Award. The Principal of Central Bedfordshire College, Sue Hadfield, presented the award to the winners, Lewsey Residents Association.
Sue said, “Working closely alongside our local community is an essential part of our mission as a college and wider group. It is always rewarding to recognise the amazing work within our local community, and it is an honour to present the Community Project of the Year Award on behalf of Central Bedfordshire College.”
The Bedford College Group would like to thank all sponsors and community partners who continue to support this initiative and recognise the remarkable contributions of individuals making a difference in Bedfordshire.
