7. New Employer Partnership Scheme Celebrates Over a Dozen Businesses Signed Up

Ark story - partnerships

Since launching in September 2024, The Bedford College Group’s new Employer Partnership Scheme has already welcomed an extensive range of employers signing up.

The scheme was introduced to build stronger, sustained links between industry and education, with employers committing to engage with the Group across Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire throughout the academic year. This collaboration allows businesses to directly influence curriculum development, helping to ensure that students gain the relevant skills truly needed in the modern workplace – ultimately helping to close the local and national skills gap.

Employers within the scheme make a commitment to engage with the Group regularly throughout the academic year, creating a foundation for sustained collaboration.

Identifying and Supporting Local talent

With over 19,000 students training with the Group at any one time, this mutually beneficial scheme allows employers to identify and support local talent directly.

In return, students gain valuable insight and access to career opportunities that can improve their progression into meaningful employment.

Employers also benefit from this new scheme in multiple ways, the most prominent being direct access to our students to aid recruitment.

Already this academic year, the following businesses based in Northamptonshire and Bedfordshire have signed up as partners with the following outcomes for students:
