Tresham College Volleyball Academy

Men's Volleyball Regional Champions 2019

Our volleyball players compete at the very highest levels of college sport.

We compete in the East Midlands league, the National Volleyball Cup and numerous other national and regional competitions.  We don’t just compete – we win!  Recent victories include winning matches at the College National Championships.  Recently our volleyball team competed against (and beat!) a touring team from Argentina.  What a fantastic experience.  Similar events are planned for the year ahead.

Our coach has developed successful volleyball teams for many years.  You don’t win competitions without great coaches.

Jessika Prestedge

Hi, I’m Jessika and I am currently studying BTEC Sport Level 3.  I participate in Hockey and Dance and I captain the women’s volleyball team.

I really enjoy the team environment and everyone looks out for each other.  I enjoy the balance between sport and study and I plan to go to university after my course at Tresham.

Not sure what job I want yet, but I’ve got a great foundation to go in whatever direction I decide.  My thanks to all the staff!

Adam Mills

My name Is Adam Mills, I’m 18 and I’m on my second year of the level 3 sports course.

I joined the course because it was a subject area I enjoyed and wanted to learn about in an adult learning environment. Joining the course gave me a chance to try new sports and meet new people while also developing myself physically and mentally.

Outside of college I enjoy playing various sports from football and hockey to golf and snooker. I play Hockey competitively all year round and play other sports for fun with friends both from college and elsewhere. I also got involved with the College volleyball team during my first year because I was given a chance to participate in the team from the outset and we won the Regional Championship. In my second year I was also selected as the Men’s team captain. The team spirit and mentality of the group is strong, and I feel that any new players will develop quickly with the guidance of Matt and the senior squad members in a friendly but competitive environment. My aims after finishing the course would either be going into teaching, coaching or umpiring at a high level.

If you would like to chat with our coach or book a place on the next volleyball trial event, please email us on sportsacademy@bedford.ac.uk with your name and phone number and we will call you back.

If you would like to reserve your place on this fantastic course, please click here and complete a few details.  We’ll do the rest.  We look forward to helping you achieve your ambitions.
