Help Shape our Leighton Buzzard Offer

On 1 March 2023, The Bedford College Group merged with Central Bedfordshire College.

This brought together the two largest providers in Bedfordshire to become one of the largest providers of further education in the country.

Get involved

Central Bedfordshire College, serves communities across southern Central Bedfordshire and Luton, with campuses in Dunstable, Houghton Regis and Leighton Buzzard and it is the latter that the Group has big plans for.

Leighton Buzzard is the largest town (with Herne Bay in Kent) not served by its own further education centre. From conducting our own independently commissioned research, we have identified skills needed in engineering, manufacturing and construction in Leighton Buzzard, which reflects LSIP and national skills priorities, and the provision will focus on these areas to reduce these gaps. It is planned to introduce T Levels at the centre from 2024/25, which is also a national priority.

If you are interested in being involved in focus groups and part of a working group to develop the offer in Leighton Buzzard, please email sbaxter@bedford.ac.uk
