Why Green Skills?

One of the greatest challenges facing the world is climate change, with rising temperatures and severe weather threatening the existence of the planet. In response, the UK government has set a target for the country to become net zero by 2050 (Net Zero Strategy: Build Back Greener 1) and has ambitious plans to lead the way globally.

The Bedford College Group are committed to the UN Sustainable Development Agenda. Providing opportunities for our communities to develop knowledge and understanding of the importance of nature, sustainability and the causes and impact of climate change. Furthermore, translating this knowledge into positive action and solutions through providing people of all ages an opportunity to train, retrain and upskill into green careers.

If you want to improve your Green Skills/Sustainability knowledge and how you can make a positive impact on the planet, then enrol on one of our free Green Skills training packages. Each of the individual courses can be studied online at your own pace and no attendance at College is needed.
