You may be able to resit your Autumn examination at The Bedford College Group free of charge if you are fully enrolled on a GCSE Maths/English course at The Bedford College Group by 18 September 2026.
Students correctly enrolled on a GCSE Maths/English course by 18 September 2026 may be entered for the November GCSE exams.
All students enrolled on GCSE Maths/English will have the opportunity to sit their exam in Summer 2027.
Arrangements for entry to November examinations will be confirmed in class.
The deadline for GCSE November exam entry is very early in the new academic year. To ensure enrolment by 18 September and good preparation for the November exams, should you be entered, students must:
- Attend all classes
- Respond promptly to any requests for information/documentary evidence to support enrolment
- Respond promptly to requests for information/meetings regarding examination access arrangements (special exam arrangements cannot be accommodated if they are not approved or if approval has expired)
Examination Access Arrangements – New Students
Exam access arrangements do not automatically transfer from school to College/Sixth Form.
If you or your young person has previously received exam access arrangements, it is your responsibility to contact your current or most recent school to obtain copies of any relevant evidence and supporting documentation.
This will be either:
- A JCQ Form 8 with Assessor certificate; and/or
- A JCQ Form 9 and any supporting medical evidence; and/or
- A Centre based file note.
The College will review this information to determine what arrangements can be put in place.

For the November 2026 GCSE examinations it is essential that documentation is provided by Monday 5th October 2026 latest.

CONFIRMATION OF ENTRY
If you are entered, you can expect to receive confirmation of your entry to the November GCSE Exams by email and text by Monday 19 October 2026.
The exam dates will be:
- English Paper 1 – Tuesday 3 November AM
- Maths Paper 1 – Wednesday 4 November AM
- English Paper 2 – Thursday 5 November AM
- Maths Paper 2 – Friday 6 November AM
- Maths Paper 3- Monday 9 November AM
