Our tailored introductory sessions are designed to help you feel comfortable and confident before starting your course. These sessions can include:
- Quiet Campus Visits: Explore the college during quieter times of the day to familiarise yourself with the environment at your own pace.
- Experience the Buzz: Visit during a break or lunchtime to see what campus life looks and feels like when it’s busy and vibrant.
- Classroom Tasters: Take part in a short taster session within a classroom setting to get a feel for learning in a college environment.
These flexible options allow you to choose what works best for you, so your transition into college is smooth and positive.
Tailored Support
We understand that every learner is different, so we offer personalised support before you start. This may include:
- Pre-assessment and Individual Advice: Helping you identify your strengths and areas for development so we can plan the right support for you.
- Careers Guidance: Linking you with our careers team to explore options within college and beyond.
- Schools Liaison Team: Working with our liaison specialists to understand the full college offer and what different courses look and feel like, guided by staff with broad curriculum knowledge.
- Additional Learning Support (ALS): Introducing you to our ALS team so you can learn about the facilities and support available to meet your individual needs.

College Life
You call staff by their first names, as you would another adult.
No, you only need to be on campus for your scheduled lessons. There are study spaces and enrichment activities you can use between classes or you are free to go off campus.
There are cafés and vending machines on campus. You can also bring your own food to eat if you prefer.
Support & Wellbeing
Yes! We have a range of services you can access. You can contact staff via Teams or speak to any member of staff who will direct you to the right support.
