Uniformed Public Services Introductory (Level 1)This study programme is a fantastic opportunity to learn the basics of the Public Services industry, combined with developing transferable skills such as working with others, being organised and research skills. Successful completion of year one allows for you to progress onto the vocational route (in Public Services) for year two of your study programme.

Entry requirements
3 GCSEs grades 9-1 and a keen interest in the subject OR equivalent qualification at Level E3. Other relevant levels of qualification or experience will be considered.
What qualification will I gain?
- Vocational Studies BTEC Level 1 Introductory Diploma
- English & maths qualifications if required
How will I be assessed?
The majority of your work will be assessed mainly through coursework and assignments. Functional Skills and GCSE Maths and English will also be assessed through formal exams.

- Delivering Customer Service
English and maths:
If you don’t already have GCSE English and maths grade A*-C, we will work with you to help you develop your maths and English skills.
Work experience:
You will also carry out 20 hours of work experience.

- Additional vocational learning and qualifications
Next steps
Course Progression:
After completing this study programme you could progress onto a Level 2 in Public Services.
Additional information
You will complete at least 20 hours work experience where you will gain valuable experience to put on your CV.
You will also be given opportunities to learn outside of the classroom to help with team building, working with others and communication.
