Understanding Mental Health NCFE Level 3 Certificate (Distance Learning)

This qualification focusses on the study of mental health and mental well-being to support different occupational areas. The objectives of this qualification are to help learners to understand mental health legislation, services and public attitudes and how these have evolved;  how to support mental well-being through various stages of life, mental ill health, treatment options available and the potential consequences of mental ill health and the skills required to work in a mental health service.

*Level 3 courses are free if learners meet the criteria:

  • Do not hold a Level 3 or higher qualification
  • Are over 19 on 1st August
  • Have lived in UK for 3 years or more

If they don’t meet the criteria they may be able to get a Government loan.

Funding Information

The College offers an instalment plan for Further Education and Higher Education courses to students where the total amount payable at the point of enrolment is £200 or more. Within the scheme there is an ability to pay up to 6 instalments, depending on the length of the courses and the final payment must be paid at least a month before the end of the course.

If you are aged 19 or over and want to achieve your first full Level 3 qualification (equivalent to an advanced technical certificate, diploma or A-Levels) then this course is free, as part of the National Skills Fund.

Part-time Fee Flow Chart

If you are aged 24 or over you may qualify for an Advanced Learner Loan to help you pay the tuition fees for this course. Alternatively, you can pay by instalments to help make the cost of this course more affordable.
