Understanding Domestic Abuse NCFE Level 2 Certificate (Distance Learning)

This course aims to increase learners’ awareness and understanding of domestic abuse and its impact.

The objective is to support those in the workplace who may work with, support, or interact with people at risk of, or experiencing, domestic abuse.

All of the Level 2 courses are free. These courses last up to 16 weeks and you can start them at any point throughout the year, and complete them in your own free time.

NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Domestic Abuse.

Online written assignments.

Course content

What will I study?

  • Understand the signs and risk factors associated with domestic abuse

In this unit the learner will gain knowledge and understanding of signs and risk factors of domestic abuse and issues around disclosure and reporting.

  • Understand the impact of domestic abuse

In this unit the learner will gain knowledge and understanding of the impact of domestic abuse on children, family members, support service providers and society.

  • Policy, response and Policy, response and intervention in relation to domestic abuse

In this unit the learner will gain knowledge and understanding of legislation and policy, multi-agency working, intervention and sources of support and information in relation to domestic abuse.

COURSE PROGRESSION:

There are several next steps that you can take. You can go on to study another Level 2 or Level 3 course. Alternatively, you could enrol on to our Access to Higher Education course or other further education courses (subject to entry requirements).

Please note that an administration charge of £100 will be charged if learners do not complete the course within the allocated 16 weeks.
