Technical Diploma in Floristry City & Guilds Level 3If you’ve already completed your Level 2 Floristry qualification or have existing floral knowledge, this brilliant course will take your skills to a new level. This Level 3 part time advanced Floristry course will allow you to gain all the advanced skills and vocational knowledge needed for employment in the floristry sector. This study programme will give you an in-depth knowledge of running a floristry business, in addition to the advanced skills needed to create beautiful and modern floral designs. You will study the course over two consecutive days in college.

Assessment methods
To achieve the Level 3 Advanced Technical Diploma in Floristry candidates must successfully complete all the mandatory assessment components:
- Level 3 Floristry – Theory exam
- Level 3 Floristry – Synoptic assignment
- Level 3 Principles of health and safety – Theory exam
- Undertake and review work related experience in the land-based industries (minimum of 150 hours) – portfolio

- Undertake and review work related experience in the land based industries
- Principle of the creative design process in floristry
- Plant and flower care Tied floral designs
- Floral designs in a medium
- Wired floral designs
- Glued floral designs
- Business management and marketing in floristry
- Trends in the floristry industry
- Event floristry
Work Experience
You are required to complete 150 hours of work experience as part of your study programme and mandatory unit: Employer Involvement.

Additional information
You will need a basic tool box and Florists apron, these can be purchased at College when you start the course.
To take part in this course you will be required to pay £950 for flower costs over the year. There will also be non-compulsory trips at approximately £300.
