Supporting the Adult Nursing Team (T Level)The T Level in Health (Supporting the Adult Nursing Team) is a blend of technical knowledge and work placement to provide the skills and experience you need to be an effective member of the workforce in Health or prepare you for higher study in the Health sector. The two-year qualification brings classroom and work placement together, on a course designed with employers, giving you a route into the Health sector. You will explore at great depth a variety of topics, concepts and complex theory relating to supporting the Adult Nursing team. There is an industry placement requirement that compliments the course content and enables you to be prepared for successful completion of the T Level and progression opportunities.

To begin this study programme you will need:
4 GCSEs grades 9-4 including English and Maths OR equivalent qualification at Level 2 including English and Maths will be considered.
Entry will also be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
T Level courses are for 16-18 year olds who have completed their GCSEs. If you are 19+ and interested in a course relating to Primary Education, please contact us.
The objectives of this qualification are to equip students with:
- The core knowledge and core skills relevant to supporting the Adult Nursing team
- Up to date occupational knowledge and skills that have continued currency amongst employers and others
- The necessary English, mathematics and digital skills
- Threshold competence that meets employer expectations and is as close to full occupational competence as possible
- Opportunities to manage and improve their own performance.
During the study programme you will explore at great depth a variety of topics, concepts and complex theory relating to healthcare and supporting the Adult Nursing team, this will prepare you for further study or excellence in a role in healthcare.
Examples of topics, concepts and theory explored:
- Assist with an individual’s overall care and needs to ensure comfort and wellbeing
- Assist registered health professionals with clinical or therapeutic tasks and interventions
- Undertake a range of physiological measurements
- Assist the Adult Nursing Team with clinical skills
- Support individuals to meet activities of daily living
- Assist with skin integrity assessments and with the care and treatment of skin conditions
During the study programme you will attend industry placement up to two days a week with further block placements throughout the year. Industry placements are intended to provide you with further opportunity to develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required for skilled employment in industry.
As part of your study programme, you will take part in enrichment opportunities, including a variety of trips, to support the development of knowledge, skills and behaviour to prepare you for progression to Higher Education or industry roles.
T Level Technical Qualification in Health
During the study programme you will attend industry placement in a relevant healthcare setting for up to two days a week with further block placements throughout the year. Industry placements are intended to provide you with further opportunity to develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required for skilled employment in industry.
You will be assessed though a variety of methods throughout the duration of the course, with exam based assessments at the end of each year.
Course progression:
The T Level Health provides you with a number of progression options including access to Higher Education to study a relevant degree such as Nursing or direct access to employment in relevant Healthcare industry roles.
A mandatory payment for compulsory trips and events that support your learning will be required at the start of your course. This will be a maximum of £75 per year.
