Laura
My aim is to qualify as a trained Counsellor. I’m currently working full-time in an admin role at Northampton General Hospital and I’m studying this Access course part-time.
I am really enjoying the freedom of the course; having conversations with your tutors about where you want to get to and experiencing the passion they have for their subject. It’s not like school where you’re just about the grades, it’s all about you and their enthusiasm really helps you to succeed.
After the Access course I plan to continue in part-time study on the CPCAB Counselling Diploma here at College. This will qualify me to work in an agency and then if I choose to work for myself I’ll need to take additional qualifications with the Open University.
Course information
You must be aged 19 or over to apply and will need to have English Language and maths GCSE at grade 4 (GCSE Grade C) or above or equivalent Level 2 qualifications.
