Qualification gained

Level 3 Technical Occupational Entry in Social Care (Diploma).

Assessment methods

Internally assessed and externally quality assured portfolio of evidence.

Work experience

Learners will be required to attend work/practical placement to support their learning.

  • the care and support planning process
  • values and behaviours
  • mental health and wellbeing
  • learning disabilities
  • dementia awareness
  • health and safety
  • prevention and control of infection
  • personal and professional development

Skills gained

This qualification develops the knowledge and skills needed when working in social care settings. It contains mandatory units which allow the learner to develop the knowledge and skills which are required for the role.

Funding Information

All full-time Level 1 and Level 2 courses are now FREE for everyone, whatever their age. If you are looking to study a Level 3 qualification, courses might still be free if you’re under 19 or 19-23 and studying your first full Level 3 qualification. If you are aged 19 or over you may qualify for an Advanced Learner Loan to help you pay the tuition fees for this course. You can also pay by instalments to help make the cost of this course more affordable.
