Site Carpentry Advanced (Level 3)The Level 3 Diploma in Site Carpentry qualification has been developed for achievement in a training environment which means you do not need to be employed to undertake this qualification.
This qualification enables you, the learner, to demonstrate and recognise your skills, knowledge and understanding so you can work as a Site Carpenter within the construction industry.
This qualification supports the learner to attain enabling, fundamental and transferable practical skills with associated underpinning knowledge.

Essential: Level 2 Diploma in Carpentry or Bench Joinery. GCSE 3 in both English and Maths
Desirable: GCSE Grade 4 in English and Maths
What qualification will I gain?
Advanced Diploma in Site Carpentry.

Practical Skills Test – Online exams and written assignments.
Course content
What will I study?
You will study:
- Analysing Technical Information, Quantities and Communication with Others.
- Carry out First fix operations
- Carry out Second Fix operations
- Erect complex structural carcassing
- Health and Safety and Welfare in the Construction and associated Industry
- Install and Maintain non-structured and Structural components
- Set up and operate cutting and shaping machinery
What skills will I gain?
- Organisational and Leadership skills to lead a small team.
- Ability to set out and construct complex timber structures such as Roofs and structural partitions

All full-time Level 1 and Level 2 courses are now FREE for everyone, whatever their age. If you are looking to study a Level 3 qualification, courses might still be free if you’re under 19 or 19-23 and studying your first full Level 3 qualification.
