Self-harm and Suicide Awareness and Prevention TQUK Level 2 Certificate (Distance Learning)The knowledge individuals you will gain through this training can be applied to a broad range of personal and professional situations.
You will explore many issues and topics and investigate the triggers which might cause someone to self-harm or attempt suicide, how to approach someone who may be self-harming or considering suicide, and the role of conversation in the prevention of self-harm and suicide as well as much more.
All of the Level 2 courses are free. These courses last up to 16 weeks and you can start them at any point throughout the year, and complete them in your own free time.

Topics covered include:
1. Introduction to suicide and self-harm awareness
2. Principles of suicide and self-harm prevention
3. Recognising the signs of suicide and self-harm in individuals
4. Support for individuals when dealing with grief after suicide

COURSE PROGRESSION:
There are several next steps that you can take. You can go on to study another Level 2 or Level 3 course. Alternatively, you could enrol on to our Access to Higher Education course or other further education courses (subject to entry requirements).

Please note that an administration charge of £100 will be charged if learners do not complete the course within the allocated 16 weeks.
