Overview

Safeguarding, Prevent and British Values TQUK Level 2 Certificate (Distance Learning)

The purpose of the qualification is to develop learners’ knowledge, understanding and skills to enable them to uphold British values in their current or future role. This includes developing an understanding of the effects of extremism, radicalisation and terrorism. The aims are to promote equality, diversity and social inclusion in the workplace to support the Governments agenda on tackling radicalisation and extremism.

The qualification also develops learners knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and online safety.

All of the Level 2 courses are free. These courses last up to 16 weeks and you can start them at any point throughout the year, and complete them in your own free time.

  • Principles of safeguarding
  • The importance of British Values
  • The Prevent Duty and its importance in society
  • The importance of online safety
Qualifications

You will gain:

  • TQUK LEVEL 2 CERTIFICATE IN SAFEGUARDING, PREVENT AND BRITISH VALUES
Assessment methods

Written assignments (online or paper-based).

Further study and career options

There are several next steps that you can take. You can go on to study another Level 2 distance learning course or a Level 3 one. Alternatively, you could enrol on to our Access to Higher Education course or other further education courses (subject to entry requirements).

Please note that an administration charge of £100 will be charged if learners do not complete the course within the allocated 16 weeks
