Overview
Retrofit CG Level 2 Award (Distance Learning)This unique qualification is tailored for individuals aged 16 and above who are either new to the construction industry or are experienced tradespeople looking to enhance their knowledge of retrofit in the construction industry, particularly about PAS 2035/2038.
It is also suitable for those without retrofit experience (such as electricians, joiners, plumbers, plasterers, and bricklayers) who aspire to work in professional retrofit roles, such as Retrofit Advisor, Retrofit Assessor, or Retrofit Coordinator.
Providing you are over 19 and have lived in the UK or EU for the past 3 years, all our Level 2 courses are free. These courses last up to 16 weeks and you can start them at any point throughout the year, and complete them in your own free time.
Please note that an administration charge of £150 will be charged if the course is not completed within the allocated 16 weeks.

- Learners will be introduced to the scope and opportunities available within the construction industry for those working on retrofit projects.
- Learners will also develop knowledge of the requirements of the roles involved in retrofit. This will include specific responsibilities in retrofit.
- Learners will expand their understanding of retrofit in practice (PAS 2035) and how this impacts the installation and preparation for a property retrofit system.
This award will enable learners to develop a basic awareness of the retrofit industry, serving as a stepping stone for career progression into retrofit.
Upon completion, learners can further develop into professional roles, such as installers, assessors, advisors, coordinators, evaluators, and designers, opening up a wide range of career opportunities in the industry.

Entry Requirements
You will be required to complete an initial English and Maths assessment, where you must achieve over a Level 1 to have access to the course.

Written assignments (online).

- study another Distance Learning course
- enrol on to an Access to Higher Education course or other further education courses (subject to entry requirements)
