Promoting Health & Wellbeing through Physical Activity and Nutrition Coordination in the Early Years NCFE Level 4 AwardThis qualification is designed for learners to examine the benefits of physical activity and the importance of diet to the health and well-being of babies, children and their families.
This qualification will support learners through a reflective cycle of continuous improvement to practice in own setting. They will work with staff, parents and carers, and other professionals to make positive change for the health of babies and children in the role of a Physical Activity and Nutrition Co-ordinator (PANCo)
This qualification supports professional development to those working with children to further enhance knowledge of neuroscience in children.
Workbased Learning allows students the benefits of gaining a recognised qualification whilst working. All students will have access to an e-portfolio with supporting resources and online lessons as well as the benefit of a one to one allocated assessor on hand to support your learning journey.

Entry requirements
Essential:
Learners must be aged 18 or over
The learner must hold a full Level 3 early years/childcare qualification
The learner must be employed in an appropriate early years setting to be able to undertake this qualification.
What qualification will I gain?
NCFE CACHE Level 4 Award in Promoting Health and Well-being Through Physical Activity and Nutrition Co-ordination in the Early Years.
How will I be assessed?
All units will be internally assessed using a range of methods including written assignments, projects, and professional discussions.
Knowledge based outcomes can be assessed using a variety of assessment tasks including assignment, online learning and activities. All assessment methods will be co-ordinated to suit the individual needs of the learner.

This qualification will support learners through a reflective cycle of continuous improvement to practice in own setting. They will work with staff, parents and carers, and other professionals to make positive change for the health of babies and children in the role of a Physical Activity and Nutrition Co-ordinator.
The objective of this qualification is to provide learners with the knowledge and skills needed to work as a Physical Activity and Nutrition Co-ordinator (PANCo) in the early years
This qualification aims to:
- Focus on the study of the Physical Activity and Nutrition Co-ordinator (PANCo) in the early years
- Offer breadth and depth of study, incorporating a key core of knowledge
- Provide opportunities to acquire practical and technical skills.
Learners will complete 1 mandatory units, within a 6month period, this is:
- EYAP 2 Promoting health and well-being through physical activity and nutrition co-ordination (PANCo) in the early years
The delivery of this qualification will be a mix of blended learning of self-study, online teaching, support and networking sessions as well as research task which may need to be completed in your setting. You will be supported throughout the qualification by an allocated assessor and have the opportunity to attend networking events.

Learners who achieve this qualification could progress to:
- Level 4 Certificate for the Early Years Advanced Practitioner
- Level 5 Diploma for the Early Years Senior Practitioner
This qualification will also support the preparation of learners for further study of the early years in higher education

Learners could progress to the following job roles and responsibilities:
- Physical Activity and Nutrition Co-ordinator (PANCo)
- Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO)
- Internal progression at a higher level, including those with management
