Overview

Principles of Safe Handling and Application of Pesticides (PA1) Level 2

If your job involves applying pesticides in a commercial role then you are legally required by the Plant Protection Products (Sustainable Use) Regulations (2012) to take the PA1 qualification.

You will need to undertake the foundation module (PA1) plus a relevant application module (i.e. PA2, PA3, PA4, PA6). The PA1 on its own is not a recognised certificate of competence.
