Pre Access in Health, Social Care & Social WorkOur Pre-Access to Higher Education courses build the skills, knowledge and confidence you need to progress on to a higher education Level 3 qualification in the subject area you’re interested in.
Are you interested in working in healthcare but don’t have the necessary qualifications? Then our Pre-Access courses maybe for you. Our Pre-Access Level 2 course is the course to lead directly onto the Level 3 Access course. Areas available for study on this programme are Humanities, Health, Science and Social Sciences. Both the Pre-Access and Access courses are designed to lead to further university study.
This is a short 20-week Level 2 intensive course aimed at mature students (19+) without the standard qualifications to enter higher education. You will focus on developing core skills and knowledge in health and science.

Assessment Methods
This course will be assessed by using a variety of assessment methods: exams, presentations, portfolios, essays, and reports.

- Planning a career
- Effective learning
All students study a Research project and Academic study skills units

Next steps
Course progression:
Upon completion of this course, you can progress onto Level 3 Access to HE.
Career progression:
To study all nursing degrees, paramedic science, pharmacy degree, bio medical degree, dietetics, radiography, physiotherapy, occupational therapy etc.
