Entry requirements
3 GCSEs Grade 9-3 including Maths and English or an equivalent qualification at Level 1.
What qualification will I gain?
- City & Guilds Level 2 Technical Certificate in Plumbing (8202-25)
How will I be assessed?
- Your Practical skills will be assessed via Synoptic Assignment.
- Your Knowledge will be assessed by Theory Exam.
- The timing of these assessments is set nationally by City and Guilds.
Course content
What will I study?
This study programme is designed to provide the point of entry into industry for those wishing to study Plumbing and Heating.
It combines the practical skills required to complete plumbing tasks, and the knowledge required to design and maintain basic Plumbing systems.
You will study many aspects of plumbing including:
- Health and Safety
- Cold water
- Hot water
- Plumbing processes
- Drainage
- Electrical & Scientific principles
- Central heating

You might progress onto further study, or positions in plumbing and related fields.
