Overview
Photography HND (Full time)This course will provide students with the opportunity to realise their potential through photographic practices. This will include contemporary explorations as well as historical understanding, all with relevant vocational contextualisation through a range of genres and investigations into the methods and processes required to succeed across multiple photographic disciplines.
In regards to teaching, the Photography lecturer is a successful working photographer in his own right, critically acclaimed and with a photography book published by an international arts publisher. With him comes experience working across multiple disciplines and processes. The lecturer also brings a range of networks for the industry and has strong links to major retailer studios in the local area. There is a healthy range of industry speakers and contacts available for external involvement and progressions.

You will study:
Unit B1: Personal Professional Development
Unit B2: Professional Project
There will be 3 coursework projects during this course with a mixture of formative assessment points and student led final project with summative feedback.
Pearson BTEC Level 5 Higher National Diploma in Photography.
Students could progress onto a Level 6 top up and then further into full time work.
Visit to The Photography and Video Show at NEC to review latest tech, processes and speakers
Visit to local major retailers studio with potential for work placement
Trips to London to photograph and visit galleries and exhibitions
Portfolio review with industry professionals
Additional costs for trips and small materials such as stationary. No other mandated costs for successful completion.
