Photography Advanced (Level 3)This UAL Awarding Body program will introduce the skills, knowledge and understanding necessary to progress to degree-level study in art and design, or employment. Based in a dedicated building equipped with the latest industry relevant resources and taught by staff with a high degree of industry experience in their field.

4 GCSEs grades 9-4 OR similar qualification at Level 2.
What qualification will I gain?
UAL Level 3 Diploma and Extended Diploma in Creative Practice: Art, Design & Communication (Photography).
How will I be assessed?
This qualification is assessed through:
Year 1:
You will study 2 units designed to build skills followed by a final project which provides the assessment at the end of the course. This is marked internally and moderated by UAL.
Year 2:
You will study 2 units designed to build skills followed by a final project which provides the assessment at the end of the course. This is marked internally and moderated by UAL.
Throughout you will be given critical, holistic feedback supporting your progress.

Year 1:
- Unit 1: The Creative Process
- Unit 2: Developing Creative Practice
- Unit 3: Responding to a set Brief
Year 2:
- Unit 4: Researching a Specialist Industry Practice
- Unit 5: Specialist Technical Skills Development
- Unit 6: Specialist Creative Outcome
The Diploma (Year 1) focuses on:
- the Creative Process – from idea generation to final pieces
- Developing 2D, 3D & 4D techniques and processes
- Responding to a brief – building your own creative project
The Extended Diploma (Year 2) focuses on:
- Researching into a specialist industry
- Developing your specialist technical skills
- Developing a specialist creative project outcome using all aspects of the creative process

Funding Information
All full-time Level 1 and Level 2 courses are now FREE for everyone, whatever their age. If you are looking to study a Level 3 qualification, courses might still be free if you’re under 19 or 19-23 and studying your first full Level 3 qualification. Whether you need to pay a fee and how much will be dependent on the programme you choose to study. For more information call 0345 658 8990.
