IT SkillsOur basic IT Skills course provides a basic foundation in using a basic ICT equipment. The course will introduce the learner to mouse and keyboard usage and slowly build their confidence in using the desktop. The course also offers a brief introduction into what applications are. Finally, the learner is introduced to Microsoft office including power points, word and excel etc.
IT skills are becoming more and more essential in the workplace – no matter what field you’re in. And with many employers considering IT proficiency a prerequisite, there’s never been a better time to brush up on your knowledge.

What will I study?
You will study a wide range of digital and IT skills for home and work including using devices, software applications such as Microsoft Office, internet and email, and staying safe online.

Course/ Career progression:
When you have completed basic IT Skills course, you can choose to progress onto next levels of Microsoft Office Applications. This course will equip you with the basic entry qualification for work in the general employment sector. Skills in information technology are easily transferable across different industries and the best part about IT, is that you can develop your skills without having to look towards higher education

Laptops will be provided as they are installed with Microsoft Office.
