Hairdressing City & Guilds Level 3 CertificateThis Level 3 study programme will focus on the development of the underlying principles and practical skills required in the hairdressing industry, and will prepare you for work in a salon environment as a junior stylist/ stylist. The course focuses on advanced cutting, colouring and styling techniques giving you the opportunity to creatively express yourself through your hairdressing skills.
Gaining this qualification will provide better employment opportunities to work in the industry completing advanced services to clients. This City and Guilds international certificate gives you the opportunity to work both locally or abroad. We offers a high street salon experience with external clients for assessments, building skills and confidence.

Entry requirements
Essential:
A Level 2 Hairdressing qualification.
Desirable:
Experience of working in a salon environment.
What qualification will I gain?
City and Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Hairdressing.
How will I be assessed?
- Ongoing practical assessments throughout the duration of the course for the practical element of the programme
- Online end of unit exams and assignments
What will I study?
- Monitor and maintain health and safety practice in the salon
- Consultation support for colleagues on hair services
- Style and dress hair using a variety of techniques
- Colour hair to create a variety of looks
- Cut women’s hair to create a variety of looks
- Creative hairdressing design skills
 What skills will I gain?
- Communication with a wide range of clients
- Advanced practical skills in hairdressing
- Ability to promote products and services
- Confidence working with people

Average salary for a stylist is ÂŁ24,000
You will need to purchase a kit and uniform to complete the course –Â kit and uniform costs TBC
