Course content
The aim of the programme is to support learners with moderate learning difficulties, specific learning difficulties and/ or social emotional and mental health difficulties, to progress into employment, higher level courses within the mainstream college and/or independent living. Learners will be supported by experienced staff who will help learners to take responsibility for what they do in order to improve their life choices, achieve greater independence, future employment and progression to other courses.
Where appropriate we will support learners to attend some vocational taster sessions which will help them to make better decisions about their future. Learners on this course will take part in a variety of activities to support development of transferable skills.
Learners attend College for three days each week, 9am – 4pm. Group sizes are usually around to eight learners.
