Fine Art HND (Full time)The course is set against building appropriate skillsets for art-making in a contemporary context. This will engage students in a range of aspects through on-going projects that might include… drawing, painting, sculpture and installation etc. through a range of conceptual and theoretical assignment considerations, with scope for site-specific and ‘real-time’ projects. The course will always aim to develop portfolio building and professional practice to enhance individual student profiles to ensure that they have a basis for logical professional development/progression.

Course information
Essential: Level 4 qualification HNC or equivalent accredited prior learning
Desirable: Appropriate aptitude/motivation
Module B Professional Creative Practice
- B1 Personal Professional Development
- B2 Professional Project
Projects vary but all cover five chief criteria: Contextual Knowledge, Ideas Generation and Development, Technical Knowledge and Skills, Professional Practice, and Communication.
You will be assessed through on-going course work-projects/continuous assessment.
HND Fine Art
Students can progress to undertake a top-up year at university, to turn their HND into a degree. In addition, subsequent options might enable one to carry out MA or PhDs should this develop.
A variety of roles from self-employed art practitioner and other specialist practical areas including curatorial and gallery related work to teaching, which could go across levels through the addition of a PGCE or other teaching certificates and a range of other options across the art industry that might build from practical skills, strengths like screen-printing, casting etc.
Salary scope will vary/change with time/experience/development.
Funds required for some on-going materials and trips related to the course.
