The Pearson BTEC HND Fashion & Textiles course aims to develop students as professional, self-reflecting individuals able to meet the demands of clients and employers in the Fashion industry and adapt to a constantly changing world. The qualifications aim to widen access to higher education and enhance career prospects.
Higher Education at Tresham is taught by Art & Design specialist practitioners, with extensive vocational and academic experience. Flexibility of the full and part time courses allow students to manage work and family commitments alongside study requirements. In addition, competitive course fees and additional supporting bursaries enable more accessible learning.

Fashion & Textiles (Level 5) BTEC Higher National Certificate (HND).
How will I be assessed?
Continuous assessment throughout the year with two graded summative assessments of practical and written evidence and three ungraded formative assessments.
Group and 1 to 1 tutorials support assessment and student development, throughout the year.
What will I study?
HND (Level 5) Year 2
- Module B: Professional Creative Practice
- Unit B1: Personal Professional Development (45 Credits)
- Unit B2: Professional Project (75 Credits)
UON BA Hons Fine Art Top Up at Tresham or University of Northampton campus, or other University then leading to Master Degree and PHD.
A wide range of specialist Top Up degree courses.
Garment Designer, Stylist, Fashion Marketing, Textile Designer, Print Designer, Fashion Buying, Costume Design, Fashion PR and Pattern Cutting.
Some specialist art supplies maybe required dependent on student specialisms. Trips are planned throughout the year and these are dependent on availability of relevant exhibitions. There are usually four gallery visits a year. It is suggested that students should budget £20 for college coach trips and additional funding for independent travel.
