3 intakes per-year September/ January/ April
The apprenticeship covers a range of Skills Knowledge and Behaviours. Whilst studying you will be supported throughout the programme to develop:
- Working in partnership with other colleagues, parents and/or carers or other professionals
- Using play to support children
- How to identify issues of safeguarding and child protection, concerns to the person in charge.
- Reflective practice and
- how to use continuous professional development
- safety and hygiene of the children
- knowledge of child development
- contribute to planning and organising activities
- communicate and engage
- support the collection of accurate and up-to-date records.
- support the well-being of all children

English and maths grade 4 or higher or equivalent.

Course progression:
On completion of this course, progression to a Level 3 Diploma or apprenticeship, will provide you with a broader knowledge of the industry. You are also able to apply for employment in a variety of environments including nurseries and pre-schools, in jobs such as nursery assistant or classroom assistant.
