Cutting Men's Hair City & Guilds Level 2

This Level 2 award will focus on the development of the underlying principles and practical skills required for cutting men’s hair, and will prepare you for progression into the certificate in barbering. You will learn how to consult with clients, health and safety along with developing a variety of barbering techniques to include cutting men’s hair.

Gaining this qualification will provide better employment opportunities to work in the industry completing male clients. This City and Guilds international award gives you the opportunity to work both locally or abroad. We offer a high street salon experience with external clients for assessments, building skills and confidence.

Entry requirements

Essential:

3 GCSEs grades 9-3 ideally including English and maths or a level 1 qualification in Hair, Beauty or Barbering.

Desirable:

Experience of working in a salon environment.

Funding Information

The College offers an instalment plan for Further Education and Higher Education courses to students where the total amount payable at the point of enrolment is £200 or more. Within the scheme there is an ability to pay up to 6 instalments, depending on the length of the courses and the final payment must be paid at least a month before the end of the course.

If you are aged 19 or over you may qualify for an Advanced Learner Loan to help you pay the tuition fees for this course. Alternatively, you can pay by instalments to help make the cost of this course more affordable.
