Course information
You will need a CCN1 qualification.
An in-depth course covering:
- Flue requirements and testing
- Ventilation
- Combustion and controls
- Unsafe situations
- Installation pipework
- Gas controls
- Reestablishing supplies
- Legislation
- Combustion products analysing
This course will provide the candidate with the necessary underpinning knowledge as well as practical expertise to take the CCN1 assessment
Core Domestic Gas Safety (CCN1) Certificate.
There are formal assessments to be undertaken in both theory and practical tasks.
On completion of CCN1 you can now undertake various training and assessments needed to be competent in other areas of gas work e.g. cookers, heaters, meters, warm air and fires.

This course can be taken up to six months prior to expiry of current certificate and still retain the full five years from the expiry date. Upon payment for the course a training manual will be issued, preferably at least three weeks prior to attending the course. Evidence of your current ACS qualifications will be required. There is a £35 additional fee for BPEC awarding body certification.

Funding Information
The College offers an instalment plan for Further Education and Higher Education courses to students where the total amount payable at the point of enrolment is £200 or more. Within the scheme there is an ability to pay up to 6 instalments, depending on the length of the courses and the final payment must be paid at least a month before the end of the course.
If you are aged 19 or over you may qualify for an Advanced Learner Loan to help you pay the tuition fees for this course. Alternatively, you can pay by instalments to help make the cost of this course more affordable.
