Overview

Cyber Security HNC (Full time)

The Pearson BTEC higher National Certificate in computing is a valuable qualification recognised by industry which allows you to develop your knowledge and skills in computing at a higher level.

The course forms the first year of the new higher technical qualification in Cyber Security (HND) and can lead to a BSc (Hons) degree or employment.

You will study a range of units including the specialist Cyber Security unit, programming, networking, professional practice, database design and development, security, project and website design.

Entry requirements

GCSEs A*-C/ 9-4 in English and Maths/equivalent Functional skills.

AND 

32-48 UCAS tariff points including a computing subject.

OR  

IT Apprenticeship Level 3

OR  

Digital T Level

OR  

BTEC Level 3 qualification in computing

OR 

An Access to Higher Education Diploma in a Computing or related subject.

100% Assessed through written and practical assessment.

Further study and career options

On successful completion of this course, you can apply to study an additional year at Bedford College to gain a full BSc (Hons) degree, progress to a university, or you can enter employment.
