Care & Childcare

Nikola

I decided in Year 10 that I wanted to study Childcare at college. I’ve always had younger siblings to look after and I really enjoyed a work experience placement I had just completed in a primary school.

My favourite part of the study programme is the work we do on development; both physical and intellectual. The written work is quite challenging but my tutors help a lot. I also have a tutorial teacher I meet up with once a week, but you can go to any of the tutors at any time and they will help you.

I’m looking forward to my work experience in another primary school; it’s nice to have so many different opportunities and to focus on what you want to do.

After this study programme I’d like to get an apprenticeship in a school or nursery and then eventually have my own nursery one day.
